Hi! I’m Travis Peterson. Although I’m a graphic designer by trade, my interest in team-building has grown into a full-blown passion. In 2005 I volunteered to do games for a new mentoring program for teens. I had had some initial training during a course I took at Youth With A Mission Virginia. During this training I was taught how to make virtually any game teachable just by asking a few simple questions afterwards.
The first Project Sam mentoring event was a hit, and so were the games! After a few of the monthly events had passed, it was evident that I have a knack for team-building. I ended up consistently running team-building sessions for Project Sam for five years, and in the meantime I began Synergy Factory.
Since then, I’ve been able to train teams of all kinds — from high school marching bands to camp counselors; missions teams to corporate groups. I’ve trained groups large and small, young and… well, not so young. But no matter the group, one thing is constant: every team has room to grow!
